Reviews
  • Auggie (Kindergarten): “This guy is bananas”
  • Robert:My 3-year-old loves this book, especially the jokes in the back. When we started reading, I wasn’t sure if my Fancy Nancy-loving kiddo would be into it, but she totally is. I think I need to be reading her more stories outside of what I think she’ll like. It’s got a lot of information that is presented in a fun way. This book is a great example of finding similarities in people who are perceived as different from us. All people, young or old, can benefit from thinking more about that. Now every time my daughter sees a bug, she says it’s Louie!”
  • Trent:Living in Wisconsin we don’t have cockroaches so many of our students don’t know what they are. This book worked in great with our insect unit, sharing lots of great cockroach facts. The illustrations of Louie make cockroaches seem “not so creepy”. We all loved the jokes at the end of the book too. On a side note ~ the recipe for German Potato salad is very close to the one my family has been making for years!!”
  • Rob: “The kids loved all of the facts. Now they want to learn about other bugs! They especially liked the jokes about cockroaches. I personally need to try the recipe for Grandpa Fritz’s German Chocolate Cake. It’s was a surprise to see real recipes in the back of the book.”
  • Gary: “What a great book for kids to learn. Fun and Funny. Great Illustrations as well.”
  • Linda: “Love this book! Who says you can’t learn new facts at age 60?! My granddaughters and I love it! Full of fun facts, jokes, recipes and beautiful illustrations, this one is a must buy.”
  • Mary: My grandson, Jeremiah, read Because Cockroaches Rule cover to cover. He was amazed that Louie knew he liked shrimp & he wants to make the recipes because Louie likes them.
  • Louie The Roach: “I find that I am glued to this book!  I can’t stop reading it. The lead character Louie is fascinating. I am going to buy this book for all my friends and family. Cockroaches really do rule.”
